Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, From FHFI!

We would like to express our gratitude to all the teachers around the world. We know that teaching is not an easy profession and it takes a lot of hard work to shape minds, young and old. You have our greatest respect for nurturing the minds of future leaders. "Teaching creates all other professions" (Author Unknown). We thank you for everything you do!

We would like to give a special honor to the teachers at Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES), and all of the wonderful people who work at the school. Since 2000, PPES has been improving the lives of females in rural India. Its mission is to empower community women from the poorest sections of society. They provide free education for girls and job opportunities for women, thereby creating a new generation of self-reliant and educated females who will break the cycle of poverty in the region.  The girls receive 3 meals a day, transportation, education, uniforms, books, and supplies; a safe, nurturing environment and a chance for a bright future.

It's not hard to see why PPES is one of our core projects. The girls, the school, and the teachers inspire us to be the change we wish to see in the world.

To all of the teachers out there, thank you!

One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.
